10 Rules for Men's Business Casual Attire

When the invitation reads business casual, you have an opportunity.  The chance to style up while not standing out.  The point is not so much to be noticed.  Rather to show that you have it together.  Quality always makes a statement especially when dressing down.

Rule 1:   Do not wear a suit and do not wear a suit jacket with casual pants.
Rule 2:   Wear a sportcoat.  You can always take it off once you arrive.  A gentleman always wear a jacket.
Rule 3:   In winter, wear a sweater, V-neck is perfect, and so is cashmere.
Rule 4:   No you can't wear jeans.
Rule 5:   Flat-front pants, no cuff. Anything by Scott Barber.
Rule 6:   Buy a shirt that fits and please, please, please tuck it in.
Rule 7:   No sneakers, sorry, invest in really good shoes.
Rule 8:   Wear a good belt.
Rule 9:   Detail with a scarf, leather bracelet, sports watch.
Rule:10  Contrast colors to add a bit of spark.

Remember, it's not about how you look.  It's about how you will be seen.  It speaks to confidence.  And if you want to really do it well call Scott Peterson at Players in Denver and he'll take care of you.  I promise
